The Prolific World of Gaming

In the wake of the recent shooting at the 2018 Madden Tournament in FL, a long-standing debate has been reignited. Does gaming promote violence, and is greater regulation of gaming content necessary to protect Americans? Are the images and themes presented in video games destructive to the moral fabric of society, or is the desire for some to draw the connection destructive? Why does society feel a need to place blame on gaming (e.g. the source of entertainment) rather than the societal ills or the realities that are possibly reflected in video games? How are lawmakers, the video game community, and mental health experts, among others, participating in this dialogue? Guest: Luigino Gigante, Owner of Waypoint Café
